GOALS

The goal of this program is to help high school students decide what various careers in health care are really like, and whether they want to pursue them, by giving them real-world experience!

Most young adults do not experience their chosen profession until their latter college years or even until they are on the job as college graduates.  This program aims to expose high school students to various occupations early in life, helping to inspire them to continue in their chosen field or even determine that it might not be the right profession for them and direct them further in their post-secondary education.

We also hope to create lasting relationships between mentors and students to encourage them as they pursure their chosen career, to offer practical advice, and to be available for future shadowing and volunteer experiences throughout their post-secondary education.
